My Archtops have tremendous projection and give you a broad, pleasing voice at full acoustic volume. My detail work and experience consistently give you a neck that’s stable, reliable and easy to play. The design and construction of my instruments is strongly influenced by the great guitars of the past, which I examined at length, from D’Aquistos to D’Angelicos, and Fletas to Contreras.
Perfectly crafted guitars and delighted customers are my passion. I build each Archtop to be the Ferrari of Archtop guitars. When you play a Marchione Archtop, you’ll find that playability, acoustic sound, and beauty are my focus. I invite you to discover for yourself the difference that quality and experience really makes. For the original owner, I guarantee materials and workmanship for the life of the instrument.
My 18″ Archtop is for the guitarist who wants the best of everything. The guitar’s tone is powerful yet delicate when played with either fingers or a pick. The attack can be penetrating and forceful or ephemeral and elegant.
My wood selection is breathtaking and the fit as well as the finish are flawless. This guitar is for those who won’t compromise on gifts for themselves, as well as for musicians who need to make a bold statement. My 18″ Archtop is a true luxury for those who acquire one, and yet, a necessity for those who have played one.
Of course, all joints are hand planed and glued with hot hide glue. All complex joinery is chalk fit and every aspect of the guitar has been designed for many lifetimes of satisfaction and beauty.
I use the highest grade European Spruce top, highly figured Maple back and sides, and African Ebony fingerboard in addition to all wood binding and mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays, upon request, to make a truly majestic statement.
