Stephen Marchione developed this OM with insights He’s gained over 25 years of building Archtop and Classical guitars. The design is his own, a sublime blend of grace and power with the tone and volume to fully engage you and your audience. Of course, the materials and craftsmanship rise above, well aged loft dried tone woods, all hide glue construction, planed joints and premium bone or estate ivory fittings; but the feel of the guitar when played is what will fully captivate you: allowing your musical motifs to flow freely.
Built with a European Spruce top, Honduras Mahogany neck, and Rosewood back, sides, bridge and headplate. His OM is entirely handmade in Texas and features a custom bracing and bridge plate, as well a Spanish heel neck joint, with carbon graphite reinforcements.
Built in an engineered Solera for perfect geometry, the Marchione OM is assembled with chalk-fit components and all joinery is done with hot hide glue. He utilize my 15” Archtop outline for the OM, a departure from the commonly seen Nazareth-inspired shape. Chord shapes up and down the fretboard keep their open string sparkle and the bass to treble ratio is perfect. The Marchione OM’s balanced sound promises an enhanced recording experience. Plugged in, the proprietary bridgeplate-mounted pickup offers an accurate reproduction of the acoustic response. Stereo pickups are available upon request.
