The new Marchione OMC is the steel string guitar you’ve always dreamed of. It is an original Marchione design developed after 30 years of professional guitar making. The guitar is powerful, resonant and extremely stable while offering a wide palette of tones.
It utilizes Spanish construction with integral support for both the back and the top/fingerboard, for neck and fretboard stability as well as hot hide glue construction. It is built on an engineered Solera for perfect geometry. 25.5″ scale, 1 3/4 ” nut, 2 1/4 bridge spacing.
Built with a Swiss Spruce top, Rosewood back, sides and headplate. The neck is Honduran Mahogany and the nut, saddle, bridge and inlay are water buffalo bone. The bridge and fingerboard are African Ebony. The frets are Stainless Steel. Tuners are Sperzel locking tuners, made in the USA.
The finish is very thin Nitrocellulose Lacquer on top of Shallac as the base and pore filler. No plasticizers or vinyl are used in the finish.
The OMC is entirely handmade in Texas and features a custom bracing and bridge plate, as well a Spanish heel neck joint, with carbon graphite reinforcements.
The Marchione OMC is assembled with chalk-fit components and all joinery is done with hot hide glue. Stephen Marchione utilize his 15” Archtop outline for the OMC, a departure from the commonly seen Nazareth-inspired shape. Chord shapes up and down the fretboard keep their open string sparkle and the bass to treble ratio is perfect. The Marchione OMC’s balanced sound promises an enhanced recording experience. Plugged in, the proprietary bridgeplate-mounted pickup offers an accurate reproduction of the acoustic response. Stereo pickups are available upon request.
